Turismo de Portugal created the “Clean & Safe” Seal, which aims to recognize Tourism Companies, Tourism Animation Companies and Travel and Tourism Agencies that undertake to comply with the recommendations issued by the National Tourist Authority in coordination with the Directorate-General for Health to reduce risks of contamination with SARS-CoV-2 (new coronavirus).

 

Epic Land, LDA is certified and ensures the necessary hygiene to avoid risks of contagion, guaranteeing safe procedures for the operation of our tourism activities as well as the necessary procedures for all customers and employees who participate in the activities.

 

TRAINING OF ALL OUR EMPLOYEES

All employees received specific information/training on:

Internal protocol concerning the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.

 

In order to comply with basic infection prevention and control precautions regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, the following procedures are included:

Hand hygiene: wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitiser containing at least 70% alcohol, covering all surfaces of the hands and rubbing them until dry.

Respiratory etiquette: cough or sneeze into the flexed forearm or use a tissue, which is then immediately thrown away; Hand hygiene always after coughing or sneezing and after blowing your nose; Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with your hands.

Social behaviour: the frequency and form of contact between employees and between them and customers are changed, avoiding (whenever possible) close contact, handshakes, kisses, shared work stations, face-to-face meetings and food sharing, utensils, glasses and towels.

 

In order to carry out self-monitoring in case of suspicion, fever is evaluated, measuring body temperature and recording the value and time of measurement, at the same time checking for cough or difficulty breathing.

What is the established internal protocol regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.

 

THE COMPANY PROVIDES

Personal protective equipment for all employees involved in the activities.

Personal protective equipment for customers, available for sale if the customer does not have it.

The stock of cleaning materials.

Alcohol-based antiseptic solution or alcohol-based solution dispensers. It should be noted that these will be made available according to need, in addition to being on the premises, they will have to be made available when performing outdoor activities.

Waste container with non-manual opening and plastic bag.

In sanitary facilities, there is equipment appropriate to disinfect hands with an alcohol-based solution and disposable wipes.

 

CLEANING AND HYGIENE PLAN

To carry out cleaning and disinfection of surfaces and treatment of clothes in our establishments, are used the products recommended by the Directorate-General for Health

Whenever possible, textile materials are replaced by paper disposables.

The washing of clothing used in activities and other accessories made available by employees or customers is carried out based on the recommendations of the Directorate-General for Health regarding the disinfection of equipment and materials.

Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are provided to the participants in activities.

Equipment used is cleaned and disinfected after each activity, by the rules applicable to each type of equipment.

 

THE COMPANY ENSURES

Washing and disinfection according to the internal protocol;

Whenever possible, the cleaning of surfaces and objects of common use must be carried out on a regular basis;

Preference should be given to wet cleaning over dry cleaning;

In closed spaces, air should be renewed regularly;

In the food and beverage areas, there will be a reinforcement of the hygiene of utensils, equipment and surfaces and the direct handling of food by customers and employees will be avoided as much as possible.

 

THE COMPANY'S ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT ENSURES

​Whenever an activity is carried out in an enclosed space, we ensure compliance with the respective maximum occupancy per M², recommended by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

The company undertakes to maintain a social safety distance between participants in the activities, in accordance with the recommendations of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

The maximum occupancy of the means of transportation used in the activities, comply with the recommendations of the DGS.

The entity promotes the distribution of information, within the scope of the activity, preferably in digital/online support.

Compliance with internal hygiene and safety protocols by partners involved in the activities.

The company undertakes to constantly have at the service of an employee responsible for triggering the procedures in case of suspected infection (accompanying the person with symptoms to the isolation space, providing the necessary assistance and contacting the national health service).

The company ensures the decontamination of the facilities whenever there are positive cases of infection and reinforcement of cleaning and disinfection whenever there are patients suspected of infection, especially on surfaces frequently handled and most used by the same, as indicated by the DGS.

 The storage of waste produced by patients suspected of infection is carried out in a plastic bag which, after being closed, is sent to a licensed operator for the management of hospital waste with biological risk.

This declaration stems from the commitment that all the aforementioned requirements are fully complied with by EPIC LAND, LDA.
